Heart rate monitors are valuable and underrated

Anyone who steps into the gym and is really interested in looking good and getting fit needs to train in their target heart-rate zone.  People are often out of touch with their bodies and think they're training at one level when they're really training above or below where they should be.  If you train too hard, you can burn yourself out before you reach your target; if you train too lightly, you'll never reach your goal.  Training with a heart-rate monitor is like having a personal trainer or coach right on your arm.
