Fitness and Leisure Limited's proprietor is Adrian Foster. He's had (too) long a background in the IT industry, with roles at all levels in large organisations, and some success in private business. He now does more of what he likes most, and takes his own fitness reasonably seriously.
We offer an online service(it won't always be just online - in fact we have demo space for on-appointment demos of strength-building equipment) aimed at providing more innovative, and effective products for fitness, and especially strength-building, which people often neglect, with growing conseqences as the population ages.
Extraordinary value and features and/or innovation...clever manufacturers...not easy to find
We don't just grab a cheap product that ticks a few basic boxes. We look very hard around the world for peculiar and particular value: quality engineering, or features, or range of movement - something that can make a real difference to a customer's experience of that type of exercise. We visit these manufacturers and/or their distributors in the US,UK and Australia.
We get a real feel for dependability at every level. Manufacturers and marketing companies are often completely separate entities in the fitness industry. Ideally we want the best (most often US) design. It's preferable that the design and marketing company has influence over manufacturing (in fact ownership is best, obviously).
Obtaining great stuff isn't easy - so we need to squeeze the best value out of the opportunity for you and us
Just about every type of good seems to be produced in Asia, with huge variablity in quality, like everywhere else. iPhones and Kindles and the highest quality mechanical tech are produced there, as well as plenty of low-grade stuff. Our product quality is at the top-end. So we want to ship from Asia, not US stocks, because freight - a big cost - is less. (Not easy, when you are a relatively small buyer from a relatively small market, but we do well)
A better experience through instruction and advice
We aim to involve customers more in our site through guidance, tools for getting exercise done the best way. We don't want to be a seller of cheap stuff with a constant Sale sign and a line through the old price.
