The Powertec Olympic Bench has some special innovations and design features.

Patented Seat Linkage System

Most benches attached to racks offer extra stability and rigidity.  But they're very limited in the positions they offer the user.  You might be well set up for a bench press, but too far forward for a shoulder or military press.  Some are simply useless, and dangerous.  (Lifting weights from behind your head to get into position for a miltary press can compress nerves in your neck)

With Powertec's Olympic Bench, a patented linkage system lets the seat be lifted backwards and forwards over a far greater range than other benches.  This means far greater comfort and flexibility in adjusting for the wide range of pressing-type exercises you'd perform on it.  Shoulder exercises are much more practical with the seat in the rear position.  Dumbbell moves can be done with freedom with the bench lifted forward.  All this is in addition to a large range of natural decline, flat, incline and military press adjustments to the seat back.

Dual Bar Catch Access

The upright adjustable bar catches on the Olympic Bench offer two sided bar catch capability to utilize the back of the rack section for power exercises such as squats and other barbell exercises, making it more comfortable to use than other benches.

Legs that don't get in the way

Most benches have legs that stick out front and or sides, often because they use light, cheap materials which require them to spread, so as to give the bench stability. They can annoy users if they get in the way of feet, or dumbbells placed to the sides.  Not with this one.  It's stable and solid - and doesn't need the bits sticking out..  

Lock and Load Options

An access tube and load pin facility permit the addition of options that offer many more exercises - see the picture at lower right.  Note: the Dip Machine Attachment (third picture from bottom) isn't usually offered in NZ.

Assembly Service:  We offer an assembly service in the Papakura-Torbay-Kumeu-Henderson-Howick area for $75.00.  We take the rubbish away too. (Just the stuff related to the Olympic Bench!)

Finally, it's robust like other Powertec products:  All-up weight capacity - bench is 270kg; racks alone - 270kg.
